Any notion that the Left is friendly to civil liberties should have been evaporated by a recent decision of the famously “liberal” 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The court refused an appeal by a marijuana grower who complained that his rights were violated when DEA agents hid a GPS on his vehicle. The DEA put the tracking device on his Jeep without a warrant, even though the police had to trespass on private property to get to it.
